Sri Rafelsia has been taken to court because we refused to continue paying rent for a premise that was poorly maintained.

There was green mould growing on a wall which I felt was not safe for our clients to be exposed  to-fear of toxic fumes and other health related fears.

They painted over the mould and said that we should be satisfied!!! They claimed it was due to a leak on 4th floor roof water tank. We were on 2nd floor!!

We refused to accept that because we wished to continue to maintain quality of service and provision.

So, here we are...in court..because they insist that we breached the tenancy agreement and so they want their MONEY!! Not a care for the safety and health of tenants and those we would come in contact with through our daily activities within the premise.

Maybe it is not discrimination but rather, selfishness or egocentricity - all about I, me and myself.

It is exactly this kind stereotypical mindsets (towards the field of special education) that leads to prejudice. This prejudice is then actioned through acts of discrimination which can have negative effects on the persons. At a time when all parties are trying hard to create a welcoming and accepting society, there are some who choose to hold on to outdated ideas.

Please like and share because we will believe that no one has a right to compromise the safety and health of our children!!
