Listening: The Importance of Spending TIME with your children and teenagers

If you have been reading this blog, you know that we often talk about how important it is to communicate with your children about the things that they need from you. But today, we're going to talk about a very important topic that can be overlooked - the importance of listening to your children and not only telling them what they need to hear.

It can be easy for a parent to say "no" when their child asks for something that they know is not okay, or to tell them what they need to hear without listening to them at all. If we do this, we risk losing the trust and respect of our children and ruining the relationship between us. To avoid this problem, it's important to take the time to listen to them and understand what they need from us. This will allow us to give them what they need without feeling as if we have to impose our will on them.

The more we take the time to listen to our children, the easier it will be for them to open up to us and share their secrets. If they feel that we are listening to them, they will be more likely to trust us and open up to us about things that they may not normally share with their peers.

By listening to them, we will be showing them that we care about them and that we value the relationship that we have with them. This will make them more likely to turn to us for help if they have any problems in the future.

In the end, this will only strengthen the relationship that we have with them and make them better people overall.

One of the best ways to build a healthy relationship with your children is to spend time with them and help them develop healthy relationships with their friends. This interpersonal skill is one that is often overlooked and under trained in most adults! You could change that for your children and teenagers.

Having strong interpersonal skills will allow them to learn from other people and become more confident in themselves as well. They will learn to listen to others' opinions and learn how to work with others in order to achieve their goals. All of this will help them to become more successful and develop strong relationships with the people in their lives as well. This will allow them to be confident and comfortable in their own skin and not feel self-conscious when placed within any social situation.
