The Laws of Malaysia - Act 685 - Persons with Disabilities Act 2008

This act consists of 5 main parts. Each part is divided into subsections addressing more specifically issues surrounding and pertaining to the overall well being.

Part 1 - Preliminary
Part 2 - National Council for Persons with Disabilities
Part 3 - Appointment of Registrar General etc., and Registration of Persons with Disabilities
Part 4 - PROMOTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND
WELLBEING OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
(issues such as accessibility,habilitation and rehabilitation, health, the protection of persons with severe disabilities, situations of risk and humanitarian emergencies are outlined in more detail)

This 32 page piece of legislation has been long overdue but we are all happy that it is finally in place.
